Advanced Blood Testing, Reviewed by Your Physician

Results are only useful when someone explains what they mean for you.

At Badillo Longevity Lab, Dr. Christian Badillo chooses your tests based on your history, symptoms, and goals, then walks you through the results in an online visit and turns them into a written plan.

Get your blood drawn at a Quest or Labcorp location, or at home if you live in Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, or the Madison, Wisconsin area.

How this differs from ordering labs on your own

Tests chosen for a reason

Your panel is based on your health history, symptoms, medications, and goals, not a one-size-fits-all package.

A physician reviews every result

Dr. Badillo looks at your markers together, along with trends and how you actually feel, instead of only checking whether each number is in range.

A written plan afterward

Your results visit ends with a detailed written Personalized Plan and clear priorities for what comes next.

What's in our Comprehensive Blood Panel

A typical annual physical checks 8 to 15 basic markers. Our standard panel runs more than 36 markers across metabolic health, heart health, hormones, thyroid function, inflammation, and nutrient status, so we can spot trends early, often before they show up as symptoms.

It's run through Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp. Men's and women's panels share 34 tests; the men's panel adds PSA and the women's panel adds estrone. Not every test is essential for every patient, so Dr. Badillo can tailor your panel to your goals and your budget.

Going deeper when you need it

If your history, symptoms, or first results call for a closer look, Dr. Badillo may recommend more testing. We'll tell you what's available, why it might matter for you, and what it costs before anything is ordered.

4-Point Cortisol Test

A single blood draw measures cortisol once. This at-home saliva test takes four samples through the day to map your daily rhythm. It can help investigate fatigue that doesn't improve with sleep, waking at 2 or 3 a.m., or feeling wired but tired. Often covered by insurance.

Genova Comprehensive Stool Test

A detailed look at gut health, including microbiome balance, digestion, inflammation markers, and intestinal immune function. It can help when bloating, skin issues, or other symptoms may involve the gut. Often covered by insurance.

Advanced and specialty testing

Genetics, specialty panels (cardiac, GI, endocrine, autoimmune, allergy, neurological, toxins, mold, heavy metals and chronic infections), saliva hormone testing, food sensitivity testing, early cancer detection, and whole-body MRI referrals. These usually aren't covered by insurance and are offered at cost.

Coverage varies by carrier and plan. See all services.

See every test, code, and price

We publish our full lab menu so you know what to expect before your blood is drawn. Your written Personalized Plan also lists the labs Dr. Badillo is ordering for you and notes which ones may not be covered by insurance. Self-pay pricing is an estimate based on our standard panel. Your final price may vary depending on the individual requisition Dr. Badillo creates for you, and you'll get an estimate for your exact tests before your draw.

Questions about blood testing

Why do I feel tired if my blood work came back normal?

A standard checkup panel covers a limited set of markers, and a result can sit inside the reference range while still being worth a closer look alongside your symptoms. Fatigue also has causes that blood work alone won't show, such as sleep problems. A physician review looks at the whole picture and decides whether more testing makes sense.

Do I need a consultation first?

Most new patients start with an Initial Physician Consultation. Some begin with blood work first when the practice recommends that approach, and then meet Dr. Badillo for the first time at their Lab Analysis and Review.

Can you review labs ordered by another doctor?

Yes. Bring recent results to your Initial Physician Consultation and Dr. Badillo will review them with you and recommend any additional testing.

How do I prepare for my blood draw?

Fast for 10 to 12 hours (water is fine) and schedule a morning draw, ideally before 10 a.m. Stop biotin 72 hours before your draw, since it's common in multivitamins and hair, skin, and nail supplements and can change hormone and thyroid results. If you still have periods, schedule about one week before your period is expected. Follow any instructions that come with your lab order.

Will insurance cover my labs?

Quest or Labcorp bills your insurance directly. Standard tests are usually covered, while some advanced markers often aren't. Covered doesn't always mean free: with a high-deductible plan, you may owe the lab's contracted rate until your deductible is met. Call your insurer with the CPT codes from our Master Lab Testing Menu. Want to skip a test? Send us a portal message before your draw and we'll update your requisition.

What if I'm not using insurance?

We offer discounted self-pay pricing through Quest, passed on at cost with no markup. Our published pricing is an estimate, and your final price may vary depending on the individual requisition Dr. Badillo creates for you. You'll get an estimate based on your exact tests and pay before your draw, so there's no surprise bill later. See our Self-Pay Lab Pricing.

Do I need a membership?

No. You can book testing and visits individually. Membership is an option for patients who want ongoing care and included blood draws.

Where is this available?

Online visits with Dr. Badillo are available to patients located in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Texas, and Florida. At-home blood draws are available in Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, and the Madison, Wisconsin area. See our service areas.
